What kind of management is it that says we're cutting the budget of every department 30% but there won't be any impact on the service?
Is this Pol Pot resprayed as a senior banker?
It's not just the blanket 30%, it's the inference that absoutely nothing SWIFT does is worth 100% of what is being spent at the moment, or worth extra investment.
And the other inference that management has no mandate to decide that certain activities may be worth 0% of what is being spent at the moment. Or else they don't know enough to decide.
Instead one receives statements, like the one above, that strain credibility beyond breaking point and make one wonder if there is anyone at the senior level there who has got any grip.
So on the one hand Corporate Access is deemed to be inadequately supported right now by its customers, but SWIFT aim to add eBAM (waste of time - see above), maintain the current service at 30% lower cost - and supposedly address these concerns and make the thing fly.
