4th EU Anti-Money Laundering Directive
1-DAY COURSE ON 4th EU ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING DIRECTIVE
Target audience:
All executives at banks and “obliged entities” (lawyers, accountants..) who are affected by this Directive.
Content:
4AMLD is the latest refinement of the EU’s implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing frameworks developed at the Financial Action Taskforce level.
This directive deepens the area of identifying legal entities and individuals, particularly in the areas of Ultimate Beneficial Owners and Politically Exposed Persons. The course goes through the obligations laid upon banks and customers for having this identification information, and the sources that the information must come from.
The essence of 4AMLD is in the detail of who these Trusted Third Parties can be, and how practical or impractical it is for a given customer to fulfil the regulations towards a given bank.
We further explore how banking groups can passport customers to their units in other countries, and how this can be inhibited by local regulation based on lists of countries.
Benefits:
- Economical but detailed
- Good overview of the main contents
- Delivered by a practitioner with deep experience of this area from within an international banking club
